History of Hotel D'Amato
1974
We are here to tell you the story of a visionary, Raffaele D'Amato, a young building contractor who managed to predict the trends and be ahead of the curve in welcoming tourism to the Gargano.
In 1974, Raffaele bought land that in 1977 was turned into the Hotel D'Amato, which opened on July 21, on the feast of St. Elias, the town's patron saint.

A few years later, his son Matteo took over the management of the hotel. With great skill, he succeeded in bringing the Hotel D'Amato into prominence. In the 2000s, he came up with a major project: renovating and expanding the hotel from 38 to more than 100 rooms.

Years later, Raffaele D'Amato's grandchildren are also committed to the same goal, that of taking care of guests by making them experience wonderful vacations. Although it has become a large hotel, the D'Amato family continues to offer its guests the same hospitality that Grandfather Raffaele reserved for the first tourists who came to discover this beautiful place, the Gargano.
