History of the Hotel D'Amato
1974
We are here to tell you the story of a visionary, Raffaele D'Amato, a young building contractor who managed to predict the years and fashions to welcome tourism to the Gargano area.
In 1974, Raffaele bought a piece of land which was transformed into Hotel D'Amato in 1977, inaugurated on 21 July, on the occasion of the feast of Sant'Elia, the town's patron saint.

A few years later, his son Matteo took over the management of the hotel, and with great skill, he succeeded in making the name of the Hotel D'Amato stand out. In the 2000s, he carried out a major project: renovating and expanding the hotel from 38 to over 100 rooms.

After many years, Raffaele D'Amato's grandchildren are committed to the same goal, that of taking care of their guests and making them experience wonderful holidays. Although it has become a large hotel, the D'Amato family continues to offer its guests the same welcome that Grandpa Raffaele reserved for the first tourists who came to discover this beautiful place, Gargano.
